Alexander Elliot Anderson Salmond dit Alex Salmond, né le 31 décembre 1954 à Linlithgow, est un homme d'État britannique, membre et ancien chef du Parti national écossais .

Membre de la Chambre des communes entre 1987 et 2010, il occupe par deux fois la fonction de chef du SNP. Il est également député au Parlement d'Écosse entre 1999 et 2001 et de 2007 à 2016 et Premier ministre d'Écosse du 16 mai 2007 au 19 novembre 2014.
